Joining the comm

This is a great idea! Tho perhaps we should lock it down to just RPCVs so we don't make the prospectives squeamish about the poop-in-a-cup test at the end (tho I hear rumor that's stopped!) and similar probs that are comedic, but don't sound that way?

Anyhow.

I didn't have to poop-in-a-cup!

Maybe that's only reserved for Jamaica PCVs ;)

Really? What were they testing for??

I wonder if I should've pooped in a cup. I probably have some weird disease and don't know it.

Parasites, I believe...

I was tempted to think that maybe you didn't need to get tested because Eastern Europe doesn't have all the tropical diseases, but come to think of it, its not as if tapeworms are confined to the Tropics...

How odd.

I think it's more than just tapeworms, tho -- lots of fun intetinal parasites!

Even better for me was that I COSed right after Hurricane Ivan, so had no running water. sigh.

You didn't have to poop-in-a-cup? We had to give three stool samples from three consecutive days in Guinea. But I suppose most of us had parasites.
